Brought to you by the internet...
One of the things that helps with the long hours at work, whilst I fight the good fight and stick it to the man on a daily basis, is a fantastic daily on-line news segment that I like to watch in the background late at night when the building is empty and no one is around to mind weird noises coming from my office.
That show is
The Show, with Ze Frank. It's biting, sarcastic, fast-paced, easily digestible, and on par with the humour and sanity delivered by the Daily Show, if the Daily show were just four minutes long, had no interviews, and you edited out all the camera time devoted to Jon Stewart's contorted shrugs and gasps of mock befuddlement (I'm not saying I don't love 'em, I'm just saying they're filling without substance, like junk food distracting from the creamy Stewart sauce).
While I'm at it, I'm honestly stunned by how much junk mail I receive (and have to delete each day) promising me cheap copies of Corel Draw. I've never had a problem where I thought to myself,
Gee, that could be solved if only I just had a cheap copy of Corel Draw. Who still uses Corel Draw?I know, I know. All it would take now is for me to start off with "And what's the deal with the peanuts on airplanes?" for you to start wondering why I broke the silence of my sparse blog posting at all.
