"... Look assholes, it's funny when Dave Chappelle says it, not you. I'm tired of people adopting speech patterns, catch phrases, and their entire personalities from movies. When Jim Carrey's "Ace Ventura" came out, every prick I know did their worst "allllrighty then" impression. You can still hear it echoed by smug school girls who try to compensate for their lack of personality and any semblance of wit by chanting this mantra so maybe you won't notice that they're lying whores. The worst is when some gabby bitch is the center of a party, and someone tells an awkward story, to which she'll pause a beat, roll her eyes, then say "oooooookayyyyy!" Then she thinks it's funny and she high fives all her snobby bitch friends who watch stupid shit like "Will & Grace" and "Average American Family deals with gay daughter," all while listening to whiny angst-filled "emo" bullshit and taking everything Carson Daly says as gospel. I hope you choke."
"1,980,496 idiots still think they're funny by ruining the phrase 'I'm Rick James, bitch!'"
-- You know, I'm not even sure it was funny when Dave Chapelle said it.
maybe you should just e-mail that sentiment straight to the hypno-toad folks. The fact that they have that clip embedded in your beloved toad is only perpetuating this problem.
Good lord. Remind me never to get involved with in-jokes again. I spend all my time reading comments and none on my precious trial book.
Both sites are actually the responsibility of the same person. He seems to think "I'm Rick James, Bitch!" is funny when Dave Chappelle says it, but has written an overall screed about every other person taking a catch-phrase, quip, or quote and repeating it ad nauseum as though they themselves were funny.
Me, I don't think Dave Chappelle is very funny at all. I was just taking the quote "I'm Rick James, bitch" and putting it in the context it richly needed. I daresay the author of the hypno-toad site is perfectly comfortable with the fact that it's ironic to propogate a quote he himself hates to see propagated by non-Chappelle others.
Here's that URL, which is linked to from the hypno-toad page:
